FAQs
We get a lot of really silly questions, like "how do we find you?" or "literally, where are you???" or "I'm here why can't I find the room????" Which. Details, schmetails. However, in case you REALLY want to know some stuff, and don't want to pass the riddles of a bridge troll in order to get to our location, read below. (also we're really sorry)

Location
We're in TaborSpace, in the bigger PeaPod Classroom, which is on the ??? floor (downstairs). While you can find the room from everywhere in the building, it's hard to find. Enter from the side door, directly across the parking lot on 54th and Belmont. From there, turn left. We're in the last door all the way at the end of the hall. See the picture below for help.

Parking
There is a parking lot adjacent to TaborSpace, on 54th and Belmont. The easiest door to enter the space is directly across the street from that parking lot. There is also residential parking around the neighborhood. Parking is usually pretty accessible. See the picture below of the parking lot we recommend.

Cost
The sliding scale cost for Community Playdates is between $15 and $25 to cover the cost of the space. We accept Venmo on the day of the event, or you can bring cash to cover the cost. We may or may not be able to provide change.
If you need to use something else, like Zelle, CashApp, or PayPal, email us directly to let us know.

Accessibility

Dress Code

Masks and Vax
TaborSpace seems to be ADA accessible, and there is a flat-ish sidewalk and ramp to get into the building. Enter in the side door on 54th and Belmont and there are no stairs or elevators needed. We welcome people of all abilities into our space. All people can play.
**A NOTE- we're in a preschool, and much of the furniture is very short/small. If you need items to support your comfortability, like a bolster, yoga mat, blanket, or pillow, please bring them. We can seek out adult-sized chairs from elsewhere in the building, however we cannot guarantee they are comfy to sit in.
Come able and prepared to move in all the ways your body might like to (including no movement at all). We (Bex and Steph) like to stay relaxed and able to play!

This is our door of choice (the image to the right). You should definitely enter from this door.
TLDR
-
From the sidewalk facing the main entrance to Taborspace, turn LEFT and walk to the end of the sidewalk
-
Turn RIGHT onto SE 54th St
-
Turn down the sidewalk pictured next to this text
-
Enter into the door you see
-
From the inside of that door, turn LEFT
-
Walk to the end of the hall
-
Walk into the PeaPod classroom, ignore the "Members Only" sign on the door that's just silly of course you're a member
-
Play!
Masks are optional. Feel free to wear a mask if you’d like, and feel free to be unmasked if you’d like as well.
We do request that all attendees are fully vaxxed and up to date. Not only do we care about the protection of our community, but also, it makes the internet really great.

Food and Bevies
No food or beverages will be provided, although you may bring food and beverages to consume if you’d like.
Please know that there is a coffee shop IN the building called Crema, which is upstairs from our location, so if you have caffeine needs, you can always head there!

Joining the Training
We admit that up until now we've been rather cryptic about how one joins the training. We're very sorry about that. That wasn't entirely intentional. We've seen the error of our ways, and you can now find all that information if you click this button below.
We promise we're not keeping you out. You can join any time! We do rolling admission.

I Don't Live in Portland
We assume you're mentioning this because you want to do DvT, although we are generally sorry that you don't live here because we're very cool.
DvT exists elsewhere! Check out other training cohorts around the country, linked over that way (look right) --->
There are also DvT-ers around the country and globe that aren't near an institute. Send us an email and we'll try to direct you if we can.
Finally, if you've heard that there was once a Polaris (that was in Chicago) and a Seattle group (that location seems self-explanatory), there was! We don't think those friends are still playing but if they are, we'll update you!
